Canine Countryside Escape Hot Weather Warning

Canine Countryside Escape – Hot Weather Operating Guidelines At Canine Countryside Escape, the health, safety and welfare of our dogs and team will always come first. During periods of extreme heat, we may adjust our operating hours to ensure all dogs travel and exercise safely. Hot Weather Procedures Amber Weather Warning or Temperatures of 30°C and Above * Pickups will begin from 7:00am to allow dogs to enjoy their walk before the hottest part of the day.
* Dogs will be returned from 1:00pm or 2:00pm, depending on the forecast temperatures and weather conditions on the day.
* Walks and outdoor activities will be reduced where necessary and replaced with enrichment, shaded rest areas, paddling pools and regular hydration.
Red Weather Warning or Temperatures of 34°C and Above * Pickups will begin from 7:00am to make the most of the cooler morning temperatures.
* For the safety of both the dogs and our staff, all dogs will be returned from 11:00am onwards.
* No afternoon activities will take place, as temperatures are considered unsafe for prolonged outdoor exercise and travel.
Additional Information * Daily decisions will be based on the latest weather forecasts and real-time conditions.
* Clients will be notified as early as possible if amended collection or drop-off times are required.
* Please ensure your dog has access to fresh water and a cool, shaded area once they have been returned home.
* If you know your dog struggles in hot weather, we encourage you to consider whether daycare is appropriate on exceptionally hot days.
* Our standard 24-hour cancellation policy remains in place, as staffing, transport and business operating costs remain the same regardless of weather conditions.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. These measures are in place to protect the wellbeing of every dog in our care and to ensure we continue to operate safely during periods of extreme heat.
